Derrick Kelsey is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a vocal supporter of the football team of his alma mater, the University Of Alabama (Roll Tide!), where he earned a degree in computer engineering. After completing a Master's in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, his family (wife Zaneta, and his two sons, Drew and Zach) moved to Denver, where they have pursued an ongoing mission of seeking the well-being of the city.
