Johnny grew up in Inglewood, CA.  Upon graduating from high school, he attended the University of Colorado in Boulder on a full basketball scholarship, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.  Johnny currently works as an assistant superintendent for the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado. He and his wife of 29 years, Tanya, are the parents to two young ladies, Kai and Nia.  His favorite Bible passage is Romans 8:35 – 39, where God tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
